Relax and unwind in this cozy lake house, with a hot tub and outdoor fire pit. Watch the sunset from the new dock while drinking a glass of wine from the neighbouring winery. Nature lovers paradise with a public beach and hiking trails right outside the door. Take in the lake views or your favourite shows on the 50” TV with Netflix. Lake views from the brand new Queen sized bed, wake up with the birds! Fury friends welcomed (we supply pet bed, food/water dishes and a 30ft leash).
Our cozy lake house sits just feet from the waterfront of Westport Sand Lake. The home was originally a boat house, converted in the 80s to a cottage, then fully winterized by us in 2021! The interior has a cozy Scandinavian cabin aesthetic. The house is approximately 850 square feet, not ideal for large groups but perfect for a quiet couples getaway! The house has two levels; upper level is an open concept Kitchen/Dining/Living room with a half bath, and the lower level is a walkout with the bedroom, full bath and laundry. Steps to the hot tub from the bedroom!
The house sits on a .25 acre property with 80 feet of waterfront, a partially fenced yard on a private road (zero traffic!). The front yard has plenty of open space and fire pit. The side of the house is where you’ll find the hot tub and patio. The lake is our backyard! Kayaks available in the warmer months. Our neighbours are close, but the property remains private with an 8 foot fence on one side and plenty of greenery on the other.
There is no shortage of things to do in the area; artisan shops, local wineries/breweries, great restaurants, many lakes (including the Rideau system), historical sites, hiking trails and more.
Westport is located 45 minutes from Kingston, 1 hour 30 minutes from Ottawa, 25 minutes from Perth and 2 hours 30 minutes from Toronto.
